Rochester’s first ever Fringe Festival last year was such a great success that it’s back again this year for twice the duration (ten days), with more performers and venues. If you don’t know what a fringe festival is, check out this site: United States Association of Fringe Festivals.
If you missed Bandaloop last time, they’ll be back for two free performances opening weekend. Headlining this year’s festival are Dave Barry and Marc Maron. There are also many other performances, over 120 of them free! Except for the headliner shows, tickets run a very reasonable $5-16. And this year they have the Spiegeltent. There’s sure to be an event or two that appeals to everyone in the family.
If you want to get involved in this year’s event you can even get a free ticket to one of the headliner events. Fringe organizers are looking for people to be ticket takers, ushers, couriers and to staff the info desk. Sign up now to help make this year’s event even more successful.
