More free concerts


I know I just wrote a few weeks ago about all the free concerts in western NY but I’m happy to share a few more free concerts that I wasn’t aware of at the time I wrote that post.  I wanted to thank all the readers for sharing venues I missed.

The 2011 Concerts By the Shore series at Ontario Beach Park is on Wednesday nights at 7pm and runs from June through August.

The Hochstein at High Falls series runs during the Thursday lunch hour so check it out if you’re downtown in the noon hour.  This week’s act is the Dady Brothers and other weeks feature acts like Po’ Boys Brass Band, Mambo Kings and the Moho Collective.

Park Point’s Summer Concert series offers one free concert a month for June through August.  The concerts are on Friday or Saturday night at the retail park located next to RIT.  The concerts feature Uncle Plum, High Voltage, 50/50 and Big Phish but also have opening acts.

Freetime Magazine has a great 2011 Summer Guide which has info on all the fun stuff to do in the area this summer.  Check out the online version for a listing of concerts, festivals, car shows and other entertaining events.
